21st May 2015: ‘Colour Me Political’ piece for The Guardian Student

In another blog post for The Guardian Student Bloggers, I wrote about my experience of organising ‘Colour Me Political’, a one-day student art project offering Exeter university students a creative medium to express their thoughts on the new government.

4th May 2015: ‘The Politics of Ugliness’

Ahead of the general election, I wrote a piece on the media’s treatment of Ed Milliband’s imperfections, placing it in the context of the art world, with comparisons with several famous paintings depicting physical ‘imperfections’.

The article actually inspired my new blog, picturepolitics.wordpress.com, which looks at the relationship between art and politics. It also features some of my own art work. Check it out!
